Restoration Project - Georgian Desk

The Georgian drop-front desk before any restoration

First, I made two new shaped dividers to match the original (far right)...

Then I made a new frieze for the right section to match the original (below)...

Next, I made a new drawer for the writing section...

And stained it to match the original drawers...

A rear foot and plinth was badly damaged...

I carefully replaced the damaged areas and matched them into the original.

Finally, I made a new central door and fitted a period drop handle. I also replaced the brass knob on the new drawer (top left) and finished the desk with a wax polish.
